Ski resorts

From Asia to Europe

Ski holidays are among the most popular types of winter recreation. Each year, more and more people become fans of winter sports and spend their vacations on picturesque mountain slopes.Zermatt is an upscale Swiss ski resort known for its complete ban on cars.

In Zermatt, transportation is limited to electric vehicles or horse-drawn sleighs, offering city dwellers a true luxury: pristine air and tranquility. The resort features excellent restaurants, boutiques, indoor swimming pools and courts, curling, squash, and winter golf.St. Moritz is a small Swiss town boasting numerous first-class resorts with rich histories. The Budrutt’s Palace Hotel was built in 1856 by Kaspar Badrutt, the son of the founder of the winter season in St. Moritz.

Architect Christoph Tolmer, inspired by the castles and chalets of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century, designed the Hotel de Charme Les Airelles. Located at the highest point of the Courchevel 1850 ski resort, the hotel offers comfortable accommodations, exquisite cuisine, and entertainment programs for both children and adults. Although you are in the heart of Catholic Europe, here you can celebrate the Russian Christmas.

Asian ski resorts are relatively young but offer a wide variety of ski slopes, excellent leisure facilities, and well-developed service infrastructure. Unlike Korean resorts, most Japanese ski areas allow you to combine skiing with soaking in hot springs. Hakuba, one of the most famous Japanese resorts for skiers and snowboarders, is located northwest of Nagano city at the foot of the Japanese Alps. The Hakuba resort has 13 slopes, an elevation range from 760 to 1,831 meters, and 32 lifts.
